Here's how to know if it’s a Dark Age religion:
By the religion’s myths, text, dogma and practice does it block access to abortion, birth control and deny equal rights to women throughout the religion and society?
Then it’s a Dark Age religion.
By the religion’s myths, text, dogma and practice does it deny equal rights to gays throughout the religion and society?
Then it’s a Dark Age religion.
By the religion’s myths, text, dogma and practice does it cling to myths and deny scientific research?
Then it’s a Dark Age religion.
By the religion’s myths, text, dogma and practice does it claim that its members are the ‘chosen people’ or that their religion is the ‘only way’ or that only their members are going to be ‘saved’ after death?
Then it’s a Dark Age religion.
By the religion’s myths, text, and dogma does it claim to have dominionism — that is, the belief that “right-thinking” Christians have a biblically derived mandate to take control of all aspects of government and society? Then it’s a Dark Age religion.
The legacy of Dark Age foolishness are justifications for repression, racism, bigotry, and violence against others. The historical record is full of the fascism, murder and brutality caused by such Dark Age ignorance.
It’s why those Dark Age religions can’t upgrade to the Reality and intelligence of the 21st century. The whole religion is based upon myth, fantasy, and repression.
To upgrade to 21st century Reality and humane intelligence, all those myths and justifications for repression have to be thrown out.
If those myths are not thrown out, as the historical record has shown, there will be the fundamentalist or the orthodox or fascist republican who will return to the repression justified by those myths and institute religious ordained violence again.

Corporate capitalism, with its basic tenet that profit is more important than you, has brought the whole planet unnecessary starvation, cancer, warfare, poison and pollution. The measure of success in capitalism is profit...not you. You are pushed aside. Under such economic insanity, you are subservient to business and corporation. From the abuse and demand of profit the inevitable poison and pollution of the whole planet was made.

In America, the Republican Party is a criminal enterprise of fascism. The Republican Party is the political force of corporate dictatorship.
Trump-republicans have worked to overthrow democracy as witnessed in the January 6th insurrection. It attempted to justify the insurrection based on Trump lies.
Who showed up in Washington, D.C. to carry out the insurrection? Racist groups of oathkeepers, proud boys, klu klux klan, nazis, and christian fascists.
Who paid for and assisted the organization of the insurrection? Rich republicans like Ginnie Thomas, wife of right wing supreme court judge, Clarence Thomas.
Another supreme court judge, Sam Alito, was involved in a fraudulent scam to overturn the election through a lawsuit filed against vice-president Mike Pence to prevent him from certifying the election on January 6th.
Trump's own attorney general, William Barr, said there was no validity to trump's claims of 2020 election fraud. Barr called trump's claims, "Bullshit."
Right wing propaganda machine Foxnews paid out over $700 million in defamation damages for promoting trump's lies about Dominion Voting machines.
Newsmax, right wing propaganda network masquerading as news, has also settled defamation lawsuit for supporting and promoting Trump lies.
One America News Networks settled lawsuit for its promoting lies of Trump.
OAN and individual Trump supporters face further defamation lawsuits from Dominion voting machines for the promoting of Trump lies.
The agenda of trump-republicans remains the same:
overthrow of democracy to install a republican-corporate-christian-racist dictatorship in America.
