I bought advertising spaces on the Chicago Mass Transit system (CTA) and displayed a series of my silkscreen prints from 1983 to 1999. The prints were installed at the designated locations surrounding the Chicago 'Loop' of the main downtown center. With the aid of a grant from the Illinois Arts Council Agency, I also took on a billboard located at corner of Chicago and Franklin.
My art images were calling attention to the disaster that was coming unless a dramatic change in economics and human rights was not undertaken.
The momentum of pollution and poison economics and continued adherence to Dark Age religious myths that justify repression of women, gays, and sustain racism are a force that leads to an inevitable catastrophe.
Unfortunately, no alteration of course has been taken.
We have arrived at the destination.
The 1999 CTA print, Century of Psychopaths and Saints, included the web page link to my millennium review of the Psychopaths and Saints of the 20th century.
That review is re-posted here.
